Wow.

It is hard to believe that I have carried Baby Brother an entire month longer than Alex. I went to the doctor yesterday and they did an ultrasound to check and make sure Brother is doing okay. He is very healthy and weighing in at around 7.5 pounds. Guess he is just really comfortable in there!

We have decided with our doctor that it is best to induce on Thursday. It wouldn't have been my choice since I am hoping for an all natural labor, but we have faith that it is best. Ultimately the Lord knows the details of Brother's arrival and we trust Him. We are hoping he comes on his own today, but if not, he'll be on his way tomorrow. We'll post an update on the blog when he makes his debut.

I was in your same boat w/ my 2nd boy (Nate). I was holding out on the induction for soooo long....waited 12 days past EDD. My doctor was really generous in letting me wait that long, but finally we decided that induction would be necessary. I so desired a natural labor & delivery and was worried about induction being harder. The day prior to the induction, I did have some mild irregular contractions and was a 4 when admitted. I did the whole thing NATURAL and in 2 hours. So, it is possible to have a natural labor w/ induction - I testify ;). It was definitely more intense/compact than my previous labor (6hrs). But, I took my back massager, soothing music, kept the lights low and focused (couldn't have done it w/o support from hubby). Just wanted to let you know that it can be done. I hadn't talked to anyone prior to my delivery that had done it, so hopefully that will be encouraging to you. Either way....so excited for you and will be praying for you!
Blessings,
Leigh Anne

Maybe he'll be a nice laid back baby. Jack was almost a month late (perhaps the due date was wrong???) and you can't get much more laid back than my husband. :) All of our daughters were early, on the other hand, and are a bit high strung. :) Wishing you a nice laid back baby and praying for you as he makes his debut soon! Love you! Can't wait to hear the news!
