Today I painted my own toenails. This is quite a feat at almost 31 weeks pregnant! But, pretty toes are a must...no matter how big my belly is! I'm also in the middle of a self-imposed 2 hour rest period this afternoon. I'm having to force myself to sit, rest, and prop up my feet for a couple of hours in the morning and in the afternoon. Otherwise I am afraid my feet might pop! In my head, I know it's impossible. But when they swell to twice their size, my mind starts to wonder just how exactly one would deal with exploding feet...At this point, I am willing to entertain any wives' tales or other tactics for reducing swelling. If any of y'all have ideas, let me know!

When I was pregnant with Klaire my doctor actually called my ankles "hellacious." Very encouraging. Anyway, I swelled horribly with Klaire, but had very little, if any, with Ava. Hope that is encouraging! Hang in there!

You're doing it just right, girl. Just keep watch...check the blood pressure...that's what gave me the signs I had HELPP syndrome.

Exploding feet!! HA HA! I'm afraid I'll get stretch marks on my feet from all the swelling.

The best part about this post is that in a few weeks you'll look at this pic and think your feet look kind of bony. I can't believe how crazy the swelling has gotten the last few weeks.
I find that laying on my left side, drinking lots of water and resting helps...but overall they are just swollen.
Thank goodness it is warm so I can just wear flip flops all the time.
